I made this Monoprint several years ago. Believe it or not, it took longer to complete the prints than it did to make the frames. I cut each individual shape from card board and then rolled a two color split fountain roll on each cut out. I then set them on to the paper which also contained a split fountain color on them. There are four columns, each representing a season. The frames are individually crafted to the size of each print. Each print is mounted from the back to a black sheet of plywood that has been cut out to the shape of each frame. It alludes to the viewer that the prints are casting a shadow behind themselves.
